Exhibition: Wits University Architecture Faculty Alumni Exhibition

SW is exhibited in her former university, Department of Architecture and Planning, University of the Witwatersrand, from the 18th-24th October. This exhibition is part of the celebration of the faculty building, John Moffat Building's 50th anniversary. SW feels very privileged to be selected to participate at the exhibition.

Rain or Shine

SW is currently working on her debut graphic novel Rain or Shine. This is the cover draft.

POST-IT CITY Occasional Cities (Travelling exhibition)

In the next months the exhibition Post-it City starts a traveling tour to South America. In collaboration with Ana Dzokic, our project, Tokyo Voids, has been chosen to participate in this new edition.

The venues and the dates will be as follow:

SW's Graphic Novel: Rain or Shine

SW is currently working on her first graphic novel. This is SW's real life story- about her son Lennert with severe communication handicap, about how her daughter Nina finds her place in this family and in the world, about her husband who always performs the perfect balancing act, and SW herself, as a mother facinated by her son's problem but also as an architect who searches her place in her profession and in the world, where woman are under the pressure to compete with man while still carry the responsibility and, most of the time, the traditional role as mother and wife.

SW in school advisory board (MR)

Since February 2009, SW is officially one of the three parents at school's advisory board (MR/Medezeggenschapraad) at Lennert's school, LW Hildernisse School.
